Once the Form 471 has been reviewed,
the SLD issues one or more Funding Commitment Decision Letters (FCDLs)
to both the applicant and the service provider, setting out its
decisions for each funding request. Approved or Denied. These
letters are mailed in waves, as decisions are made. If an applicant believes any of its
funding requests have been incorrectly reduced or denied, the
applicant can appeal the SLD decision(s), either to the SLD or to
the FCC. Appeals must be RECEIVED by the SLD or the FCC no later
than 60 days after the date of the SLD decision letter.
ERC Scope of
Work
-
Receive, Review, Scan and
Document receipt of the Funding Commitment Decision Letter.
-
Forward via email a pdf image of
the letter to client.
-
Proceed with further forms
preparation based upon decision on FCDL.
Retention of Records and Audits
-
Applicants MUST maintain their
records for at least five years to be able to comply with audits
and other inquiries or investigations. USAC and the FCC visit a
sample of applicants to ensure services have been delivered in
compliance with FCC rules. Once a client, ERC maintains these
records on your behalf in both a paper hard copy and for easy
access, a secure online accessible data warehouse.
