FCC Rules require that requests for non-contracted tariffed or month-to-month services and requests for new contractual services be posted on the SLD section of the USAC web site for a period of at least 28 days before selecting a vendor. If you indicate on your Form 470 that you have an RFP, RFPs must also be available to potential bidders for at least 28 days before selecting a vendor.

ERC Scope of Work:

  1. Upon submission of the Form 470, ERC notifies client of the earliest possible date to award a contract and sends email reminders when these contracts can be accepted.

  2. Note.  The 28 day waiting period is to precede the Form 471 submission.  A form 471 must be filed, 28 days after the Form 470 but NOT before USAC has announced the 471 filing window.

Retention of Records and Audits

  • Applicants MUST maintain their records for at least five years to be able to comply with audits and other inquiries or investigations. USAC and the FCC visit a sample of applicants to ensure services have been delivered in compliance with FCC rules. Once a client, ERC maintains these records on your behalf in both a paper hard copy and for easy access, a secure online accessible data warehouse.
